Prayer & Community

At the Heart of Our Life

Prayer is the heart of our vocation and the source of our mission. As Daughters of the Cross, we are first called to be women of prayer before we are women of service. Gathered around Christ and united in community, we seek God’s presence through the Eucharist, Sacred Scripture, personal prayer, and communal worship.

Our relationship with God gives meaning to everything we do. It strengthens us to embrace the joys and challenges of daily life and inspires us to serve others with compassion, humility, and hope.

The Eucharist: The Center of Our Community

Prayer is the heart of our vocation and the source of our mission. As Daughters of the Cross, we are first called to be women of prayer before we are women of service. Gathered around Christ and united in community, we seek God’s presence through the Eucharist, Sacred Scripture, personal prayer, and communal worship.

Our relationship with God gives meaning to everything we do. It strengthens us to embrace the joys and challenges of daily life and inspires us to serve others with compassion, humility, and hope.

Listening to God's Word

The Word of God is our daily guide. Through Scripture, personal meditation, and shared reflection, we listen to God’s voice and seek His will for our lives.

Together, we allow His Word to shape our hearts, strengthen our faith, and renew our commitment to the Gospel.

Shared reflection on Scripture helps build unity within the community and nurtures a spirit of openness, trust, and mutual support.

Silence and Contemplation

Silence is an essential part of our spiritual life. It creates space to listen to God, to reflect on His Word, and to grow in interior peace.

Moments of quiet prayer and recollection allow us to encounter Christ more deeply and prepare us to serve others with renewed joy.

Both personal and communal silence help create an atmosphere where prayer can flourish.

United in Prayer for the World

Our prayer embraces the joys, hopes, struggles, and sufferings of all people.

As members of the Church, we carry the needs of families, communities, the poor, the sick, and those seeking peace into our daily prayer.

Through this spirit of solidarity, our community remains open to the world, responding with faith, compassion, and generous service.

A Community of Faith

Living in community is a gift and a witness to the Gospel.

Together we share prayer, work, meals, joys, and challenges. Mutual respect, forgiveness, simplicity, and charity strengthen our common life and help us grow as sisters united in Christ.

By nurturing a prayer-filled community, we hope to inspire others to discover God’s love and deepen their own relationship with Him.

“Gathered around the Cross, strengthened by the Eucharist, and united in prayer, we seek to live the Gospel each day, witnessing God’s love through our community life and mission of service.”
